The Full Truffle - hunt, cook , dine

 Are you curious about these fascinating fungi?

Join Noelle for a (long) day and come truffling. 

We will leave before daybreak, with a good coffee in hand and some breakfast treats, and travel to Sutton nearby to Canberra to join the truffle farmer and his dogs for the mid-morning truffle hunt. Learn about truffle cultivation and follow the dogs as they uncover their black gold beneath the oak trees. Warm ourselves with a cup of truffle soup and other truffle treats before we take our freshly dug truffles to the Foodish Kitchen in nearby Canberra to cook.

Under the guidance of the Foodish chefs we will prepare a truffle inspired four course winter lunch:

Truffle Souffle

Ribbony pasta with truffled eggs, truffle cream sauce, grated fresh truffle and a beautiful winter salad

Chocolate chestnut roulade with truffle ice cream

Truffled Cheeses with Jester blend coffee from local Canberra roasters, Bean Culture

 Each course is paired with cold climate wines from the award winning NSW Central Ranges winery, Twisted River Wines.

As the afternoon fades we're back on our bus, headed for home, tired, full - but happy!

$340 per person - 12 places only

Includes:  Transport - Albury, Sutton, Canberra, Albury, Coffee & breakfast treats on departure, Truffle hunting, Cooking session, 4 course lunch, wine & coffee, and sparkling water and snacks on the homeward journey.
